This site is in no way intended or designed to compete with the official UK Alpha site or course list.
The purpose of this site is to allow local Alpha teams to create the additional webpages (which are usually attached to their church website) in a simple, low cost way - with no technology hassles or knowledge of web programming required.

AlphaLocal grew out of one of those typical requests from my local Alpha co-ordinator to build an Alpha website that would allow him to co-ordinate and publicise the work of the Cambridgeshire regional Alpha team.

While I was designing it in my head, it occured to me that it could be constructed using a database to support any number of regional and local teams, and provide an Alpha-branded framework for them to publish their activity. Moreover, a system could be provided so user didn't need to understand website design, HTML or programming - all you would need to do is be able to write your content.

Alphalocal is the result and that's the purpose of this site - to provide a framework where any Alpha team can publish details of what they're doing and why.

You can browse existing team sites (including your own) by visiting the Home page and choosing from the list of teams.

If you already have a team site set up and you are responsible for administering it, then you should have been provided with a "group ID" and password. You can use these details to log in. Once logged in, you can use your "Admin Console" to review and edit your website pages. After you have logged in, the site will "remember" your team, and show you these pages by default.

If you are an Alpha local or regional co-ordinator and you would like your own site/team hosted here, then please click the "Register" link to create your own account.
